Russian-born pianist Maria Yefimova has performed solo and chamber music recitals in Italy, Spain, England, Slovakia, Croatia, Russia, and the United States. She made her orchestral debut with the Slovak Philharmonic in Bratislava which was broadcast live on National Television. Her recent orchestral performances include Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto and Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto with the Tambov Philharmonic in Russia.

Ms.Yefimova is the recipient of numerous awards in national and international piano competitions, including the Artists International, the Five Towns Music & Art International Piano Competition and the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition in New York, the Hilton Head International Piano Competition in South Carolina, the Hummel International Piano Competition in Slovakia, and the Kuznetsk National Piano Competition in Russia.

Ms.Yefimova graduated with honors from the Moscow State Conservatory in 1996. She came to the United States as a full-scholarship student of Dr. Arkady Aronov at Manhattan School of Music in New York, where she received her Master’s Degree in 1999, her Professional Studies diploma in 2000, and her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in 2007.

Maria’s principal teachers are Arkady Aronov, Yury Slesarev, Nina Dunaeva, and Lena Tatulian. She performed in master classes with Claude Frank, Boris Berman, Lev Natochenny, Victor Merzhanov, Sergio Perticaroli and Eugen Indjic.

In 2006 Maria appeared as a featured artist in “Women in music” TV series on Canada’s Bravo station.
